Bryon Rood completes 4 Year Masters

Bryon Rood of Rood Guitars has left the building! After completing his course at Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery he went on to be part of the staff there.  When I was there teaching a class at RV, he approached me and inquired about an apprenticeship. Shortly after he moved out and began working with me part time.  Over the last four years he has been an amazing person to have in my shop. If you have met Bryon you know he is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. His integrity and dedication to the craft shows in his work.  Together we built 8 Weissenborn style guitars, 5 Ukuleles and 5 Steel string guitars. Also he has done most all other tasks in the shop such as fretting, sanding, electronics and oil finishing. He really developed some amazing skills, and has added some solid tricks in his bag. It will be fun to see what he pulls out of his hat.

Did I mention he has perfect pitch and is one of the most fluent and talented musicians I’ve met? Listen to his music on Soundcloud and other places.

Good job Bryon! and Good luck!
